Schunck* pavilion
Spatial structure and exhibition possibilities:
An exciting spacecontinuum is created by the sequence of alternately orientated modules.
The modularity creates a zoning within and beyond the whole structure.
The spatial tension is generated in particular by the interplay of different heights, the change of surfaces (walls and doors) and by the segmentary of the floor.
The interplay of different space heights can give to every exhibit its own focus.
The pavilion serves for exhibitions through its straight structure.
As an ideal stage for culture and art the pavillion incorporates huge exhibition possibilities and can be part of the exhibition itself.
Therefore one module can be addicted to each kind of medium (pictures, objects, films, etc) by an own area or even own space.
The Pavilon wakes up lust for art and culture. It stands in a offensive way in the surrounding and should make curious.
Expandability:
Every module functions independently and self-sufficient. Therefore it is easily possible to reduce or to extend the Pavilion.
Entrance:
Every module has its own entrance. In the array of modules to one pavilion, different entrance situations are possible. The Pavilion can react to the local situation and the respective exhibition by opening and closing doors / the retracable ramps.
Material and construction:
The construction intends an immediate array of staggered modules.
The primary structure of each module exists of a bending resistant frame which is possible to fold-out and which is fixed on a bending resistant doorframe.
Ground panels are hung up between the frames of the primary construction and laid out with a poliorefine floor covering. Once folded out the primary structure gets an external weatherproof membrane. At the inside a textile hung-up wall functions a clear, white finishing of the inner surfaces and makes a seperation of the exhibition modules possible.
